Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 2 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp quick rising instant yeast
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
Instructions
- Place flour, salt, and yeast in a large mixing bowl and stir until mixed. Add the warm water and mix until combined. It will be a sticky dough. Cover and let rise for about 4 hours or until doubled in size.
- Place dough onto a floured surface and form it into a smooth ball. Place it on a piece of parchment paper, sprinkle it with some flour, and cover loosely with plastic wrap. Let rise while oven and dutch oven pan preheat (about 30 minutes).
- Place empty, but covered, dutch oven pan in the oven while it preheats to 450 degrees. Then, remove the plastic wrap from the dough and place the parchment paper and dough in the center of the hot dutch oven pan. (Be sure to use hot pads and take caution to not touch the hot pan.) Cover and bake it for 30 minutes. Last, remove the lid and bake for another 10-15 minutes or until it is golden brown on top of the loaf. Allow to cool slightly on a cooling rack. Serve warm!
