Salsa

This has been our favorite salsa recipe for over 20 years now!  Our friends and family always ask for the recipe! We hope it becomes your favorite too!

Ingredients
  

  • 4 peppercini peppers remove stems, I use more if they are small
  • 1/4 cup peppercini juice from jar
  • 4-5 large tomatoes can also use 2-14.5oz cans stewed tomatoes
  • 1/2 sweet onion
  • 1/2 green bell pepper
  • 1/4 yellow bell pepper
  • 1/3 red bell pepper
  • 1 lime
  • 1 8 oz. tomato sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp. basil dried and crushed
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tbsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 bunch cilantro

Instructions
 

  • Place all of the peppers, pepper juice, onion, and tomatoes in a blender and squeeze the fresh lime juice over the top.  Blend just until mixed.  Then, add the rest of the ingredients and pulse in blender until combined or until it reaches desired consistency.  It is best served chilled in the fridge for a few hours or overnight.
