Snickerdoodle Cookie Recipe
I’m excited to share my award winning snickerdoodle cookie recipe. I started making these when I was 12 years old and they continue to be a favorite! I hope you love them too!
Ingredients
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 3/4 cup flour
- 2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Coating:
- 3 tbsp. sugar
- 3 tsp. cinnamon
Instructions
- Mix together shortening and sugar until well combined. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix until creamy. Add the flour, cream of tartar, salt, and soda and mix until well combined.On a plate or separate bowl, combine 3 tbsp. sugar and 3 tsp. cinnamon. Roll cookie dough into a 1 inch ball. Roll ball in the sugar/cinnamon mixture and then place on cookie sheet.Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
